Who Wudda Thunk?

Lightning and Thunder at 2 am this morning!!!

It was crazy! Car alarms were going off, our power went out, and the oddest things were that Kaelin slept right through it, there was not a drop of rain, and I was like a little kid at the window sill impatiently waiting for another crack of lightning. I was giddy.

It was just so exciting! We never have any weather!

Anyone else experience this phenomenon?

Summer is around the corner...hopefully...

We visited the Strand last weekend for the first time. It's just North of Main Street HB. Had to pick me up some Solarez to fix the darn dent in my board from it falling on the BBQ...grrr!

Good think she's cute, cuz her behavior can be quite the opposite!

More pool days...

Oh, and I taught her how to wax my surfboard...just in case I decide to take it out one of these years....

The Murdocks come tomorrow!!!

Austin and 5 other dudes stay at our place for their Senior Trip next weekend!!

And in June...

We go camping in Big Bear,

Celebrate our 4 year Anniversary,

Celebrate K's 2nd B-Day,

and prepare for Lake Chelan in July!!

WO-HOO!! Fun times are comin our way...FINALLY!!!!!

May is more than halfway over! Where has time gone?

Here's a recap of our Month of May...

We hosted a Cinco de Mayo party...

I made flautas, some snickerdoodles, and everyone else brought some goods to contribute. I still can't believe almost 20 people were in our little place. I took pictures of everyone wearing the sombreros, we had margaritas, virgin, of course....c'mon, Adam is in the Bishopric now!!!! We gotta make sure we follow those rules..haha....always have anyways...well since I met Adam...

The 3 amigas and their crazy girls at D Land. We have to get in as many D Land days as we possibly can before they block us out for the summer. Who wants to go in the summer anyways though? hot and crowded...not I said the fly!

Then it was Mother's Day. My 2nd. The boys had it all under control. Well, the BBQ anyways...

We called it our "Margarita Mother's Day"

We had Margarita Shrimp, Margaritas, virgin again.., and Margarita Pizzas.

Adam's dad was in town to get Adam all sworn into office, can't remember the correct terminology...

Then, we've had lots of these....popsicles after goooooooood, looooooong, naps!

Oh, and lots of these...

Pool + Slide = At least 20 minutes of free time for us moms...

And I have to include Kaelin's infactuation with Ladybugs.

There seems to be quite a few of them buzzing around our place. I prefer them to....the little buggers keep K busy for many minutes!

Oh, and lastly, all of you locals must stop by the ENC. The Butterfly House is finally open!

Welcome Baby Keane Douglas Overton!

Nope....I did not have a baby....but my friend did!

Just this morning at 12:21, Baby Keane came into this world.

11 days past his due date...he is finally here!

We were only able to stay for a short while, but Kaelin did get to hold "Baby Keane"

Then Sherri told Kaelin to tell me "I want a baby brother, mama.."

She told me that the whole way home. Adam agreed with her. Guess I am outnumbered.

Am I ready for another? I don't know yet!!! Ahhh!!!

Camp Newport EXPO

Last weekend we had a booth set up at the Newport Coast Community Center for the company I work for. Kaelin had to come along, but she actually turned out to be a great Marketing Tool for our CheerNastics Camp we have every summer.

Beach Days and Tay Tays

The weather has been spectacular, so we have been eating dinner down by the beach pretty often.

These were taken at 14th Street in Newport at Newport El's School Playground.

Can you imagine having recess on the sand everyday and being able to smell the ocean air while you scribbled in your bubbles on the STAR tests???

The picture below if from (Tay Tay) my sister's Confirmation at her church. Kaelin does give some of the sweetest kisses. She doesn't leave slobber strings anymore, so they are quite enjoyable.
