Oh Sweet Summer

We just love summertime! We love the weather, we love the beach, we love the sun, surf, and sand between our toes. We also love all the family and friends that come and visit us...speaking of which...Our friend Andy from Vegas dropped by on his way out to the Philippines. So, since he will be eating a lot of rice and more rice, we wanted to send him off with a belly full of Lucille's Smokehouse BBQ. Yumm! If you have never been there, GO! They just opened a brand new one in Tustin right off Jamboree and Barranca at "The District."

Here's Kaelin, imagining the day when she will be able to gobble up some pulled pork that has been marinading for 3 days...

Wow! Look at those plates of food. We ordered the "Side Porch" which comes with pulled pork, BBQ Chicken, Ribs, Garlic Mashed Potaoes, Watermelon, Corn, Sweet Potatoes and Corn Chowder. The Sweet Potatoes are to die for. Oh, I forgot to mention the Fried Pickles that we had as an appetizer. Surprisingly, they were quite tasty.
Sometimes for dinner we head down to this little lookout off Cliff Drive right by our house and eat sitting on the edge. We sit and watch the world go by below us. The day we took this picture, there were about 10 yacht-ish sailboat looking things out in the harbor, perfect for a windy day...
