It's officially Fall

So, I went to my parents house last night because Adam went to the USC vs Michigan game. Anywaysm I found some pictures from camping that are kind of fun, so I thought I'd include them...This was our trip to big bear about a month ago. I posted about this trip a while ago...
Here is my cousin, Emma, my sister Jen on the left, my mouth and nose, and Adam's hand. The yummy looking things are called Woof-Ems. Why are they called that, you ask? Because you woof-em' down. You get a wooden dowel, soak them in oil, put those Pilsbury Bisquits on the end, then cook the bisquits. Then you fill them with whatever you want. We had pudding, tapioca, pie filling, peaches, whip cream, and my mom even put a piece of chocolate in one and a roasted marshmallow and made a modern s'more. They are so dang good! Way better than S'mores!!!!

Here we are Sea-Dooing in Big Bear Lake. Even though it was summer, the water was still pretty cold...I was freezing actually....And Adam kept trying to throw me off...

Then we went off-roading.. Well like baby offroading, literally (since Kae went). It's this dirt path you follow called "Gold Mine" or something. It had little hitching posts you stop at to read about what used to happen there in the olden days. Most stops were just like holes of dirt that used to be used for mining for gold and stuff..

Jen and Taylor sat in the back the whole time. At the end, they were covered in white dusty dirt. We decided the mini-van wouldn't be able to make it on this road, so they had to sit in the back. Shhh, don't tell anyone!

Here we are at Serrano Campground. I think we were at # 27 or something. It's pretty much the best spot there.

ZZZZzzzzzzz.......

This is not how we slept, Kaeling actually had her own bed. But we had to get a shot like this because it just looks so cozy...See, doesn't camping look fun???

Ok, now here are the more recent shots. This was last Sunday at my folks' place. See, grandpa still has the magic touch. That's how he would put me to sleep...

Kaelin...almost always a happy :) baby :)
Aunt Taylor and Kaelin... I love that flower bow, Adam hates it.

These pictures were taken yesterday. Here's Kaelin chillin'. I just love the placement of her legs. I didn't even arrange them like that, she did it on her own.

She was listening to Daddy play the guitar...
And then she flipped over....
Then, like I said earlier, since Adam was gone pretty much the whole day, we went over to the grandparents house and of course, everyone just loves playing with her
Here's my mom doing.."One for the money, two for the show, three to get ready, and four to go!" Remember that?

Mom and Baby (this pic was taken at like midnight or something. We are both pooped in this shot)

I am so TIRED!

So, I have been trying to get Kaelin on a real schedule here, and it has been a little rough. She goes to bed at 11:00 and wakes up at 6:00. I guess that just means I ALSO need to go to bed at 11:00 because it's just killing me. So I have to learn to go to bed when she does or else I will just stay up and blog away until the wee hours of the morning....

Anyways, not too much going on. On Monday we took Kaelin to the Doc to get her many many shots. Of course I had to step out of the room while it was being done. It was so horrible. I heard her scream like no other scream I have ever heard. It was awful. I felt so bad :(

On Tuesday, I took Kaelin to a "Baby Yoga" class and let's just say it was so boring. The lady read out of a book and I will for sure NOT be going back.

Then on Wednesday I went and applied to be a gymnastics Instructor ar the new Newport Coast Community Center. I got the job and will be starting next week. Just a few hours 3 times a week, but I need to get out and do more than just household chores...it get's old.

Thursday, Adam got a raise. Wo-Hoo!!! I got finderprinted. No, not for anything bad but because I will be working for the city and with children so it's mandatory. Oh, I also had my first soccer game of the season. Boy, am I out of shape.

Friday we went to Babies R Us, ran errands, finished alot of the household projects like hanging pictures, and fixing up Kaelin's area. It's still not finished. But when it is, I will blog it. The theme is like a Shabby Chic green and pink type-thing.

Also, Aaron and his new fiance, Laura, came out to visit and stay with us. They are so much fun and welcome to the family Laura!

Needless to say, it has been a whirlwind of a week, and I am pooped!

The tourists are gone!

I know my title has nothing to do with my pictures, but IT'S TRUE!!!
Mid Sept-early Oct is the best time to visit So Cal because there is not as much traffic, it's not terribly hot, and it still feels like summer :)
Here is Kaelin kickin' it on one of our hot days. It reached 92* at one point. I know that's not hot for Arizonians, but we have humidity to add to your heat plus no AC. So, yes, it was hot!

This is her new pack and Play we got as a gift and we are finally now testing it out.
If you can't tell, Kaelin loved it!
Here we are at the beach for Labor Day.
Like Adam's hair?

As summer comes to a close....

After we got home from camping we headed down to our Aunt and Uncle's house for a Surprise Birthday BBQ for Jenny (my sister...not the one in this picture)

Here she is kick-kick-kicking away with Grandpa Cone
Here she is just loungin' around the house on a hot summer day.
Here we are at the park. Kaelin loved the swing!
Weeeeeee.......

The Elders went camping!!

So, to start things off..we just like to remind everyone that, yes, we do the REAL camping, tent and all...no luxorious campers, hotels, or cabins....All that separates us from nature is a paper thin layer of tent material (not exactly sure what they are made of, but I know it's much thinner than canvas)
If any of you have never camped, you MUST go! Come with us! And if you are lucky enough to come when we go with our family (The Cones) you will have a BLAST! We know how to have great time and we can show you the ropes, or how to set up your tent, at least...

Here's the Cone/Elder Crowd with the exception of my mom (She took the picture)
A breakfast of champions...Lucky Charms...

Ok, so here's the Breakfast of Champions....

I know all you can see is the bacon, but we also had Coconut/Macademia Nut flavored Pancakes, Real Maple Syrup, Eggs over Medium, F1resh Peaches, and Carrot Juice.

Yummo! haha...

Ok, so we even took Kaelin Pontoon Boating. She was completely content in her little lifevest.

What a little "Lake Babe"

And she loved the 20mph wind blowing her few little hairs...

Here's Aunt Tay, showing Kae how to sport her hat.

At the campground, they have FREE, hot showers! Amazing! You will find that almost nowhere.

Well, since we all felt pretty lakey from the lake, we took full advantage of the showers. Here is Kaelin after a nice, hot one. Bini and cozy jammies, in front of the cracking, toasty fire is all she needed to drift into her 10 hour sleep patterns at night...so awesome!

And here she is in her little Baby sleeping bag. She stayed so toasty all night. And I got that thing at a local garage sale for $2. Wow, what a life saver. I don't know what I would have done without it. It was cold at night. Like 40*..Burrrrr...

Here's Dad and Babes keeping eachother warm...

So camping was great and I just got the camera out and got some pics of Kaelin napping after the exhausting trip in her swing. I think she is just pondering about all the new experiences she had in Big Bear. Or, she's probably just thinking about when she eats next...

Haha, they look like twins. That's actually my little Hugga-Bunch from the 80's, remember those?

And here's Kaelin waving toodle-loo...

ps-Like our new wood floors?

8.27.2007

So Sorry :(

So I just want to post SOMETHING on here. We took so many cute pics of Kaelin camping, but haven't been able to post anything because our cable company has given me the run around...and to make a long story short, we still do not have any cable or internet. We have been without since June 17th, and wow, I am having some serious withdrawls. Luckily, we have some great neighbors (Dave, Stacie, and Cooper) that have been willing to let me use their computer since then...As for cable, it's been rough for Adam. I just miss my Regis and Kelly. And does anyone know who won "On The Lot"? We are probably the only ones that watch that dumb show, but I thought I'd throw it out there anyways...
Just to let you know, camping was AMAZING! Kaelin was a peach and slept even better in the mountains. Almost 10 hours at night and she even went pontoon boating. We also found this super cute store called "Paisley" in Big Bear and my mom bought her this cute grapes costume for Halloween. We will DEFINITELY send pics of her in that!

Anyways, we will have the internet up and running on hopefully Wednesday. Only 2 more days of torture, but it has made me focue entirely on getting the house put together...sorta...I do get overwhelmed, and then I go outside and I start chatting with the neighbors, and at the end of the day I realize all I got done was paying a few bills. Oh well, it's summertime, and like I said before, "The Livin is EZ..." We will take full advantage of that and will talk to you soon....

8.13.2007

Summertime and The Livin's EZ....

So not too much is going on. We are packing up all our stuff because we will be moving on the 18th. I have only packed 5 boxes so far...about 100 to go...
Anyways, the summer has been great. We go to the beach ALOT and have been swimming in our pool almost everyday. I am trying to get rid of those extra layers of skin on my belly, so I have Taylor, my sister, swim laps and more laps with me everytime she comes over.
So, I wanted to get a picture with Kaelin in the Red Vines container, but everytime I put her in it, she would arch her back and strat screaming. Needless to say, this is the best picture I got of her...
Dang, so cute! Just wish the camera string wasn't hangin' there.
Oh, such a happy baby! The day after we move, we leave to Big Bear for 4 days and 3 nights in a tent. Yes, in a TENT! Adam & I love camping! We plan to make Kaelin a lover of it too! She's pretty easy going but everyone keeps telling me how much the elevation can change everything. So we will see. We come back on Thursday, so sorry if I don't update for a while. Busy moving and camping and then organizing and cleaning after we get back.
