Our Birthday Trip to San Diego.
Adam turned the BIG "Three-Oh" and I turned the lovely "Two-Five"
So here is how it all went down.....
Adam didn't know a thing about it.
I made the reservations.
I got all his meetings and work off.
I packed all our bags and hid them in the trunk of my car.
The morning of departure, I quickly got ready and transferred all our stuff from my car to his while he was in the shower.
As we headed out for Breakfast, he noticed his truck was not parked where he left it.
(I had moved it and didn't have time to put it back because guy showers are REALLY short)
He noticed the bags and pack-n-play in the back.
I told him we were spending the night at a friends house in San Diego for the night.
Now, the pics!
Our first stop was in San Clemente for Breakfast at the famous "Bagel Shack"
(If you're ever around that area, you have to eat there. You just feel like a Beach Bum when you get there and the food is delish!)
Adam stopped at the park at the San Diego Visitors Center while I retreived our "Go San Diego" cards for our weekend festivities.
I should have scanned our itinerary in and posted it, but that would be going overboard. Let's just say I had everything from potty breaks to dinner reservations on there and it was fantastic!
After the park, I gave Adam the so called "directions" to our friends house where he thought we were staying for the night.
He knew something was up when the directions led us to the Bahia Resort parking lot.
Here is our view of the bay
Our first place on the itinerary was the Birch Aquarium at Scripps.
For dinner...
Monique and Tom fed us the yummiest dinner.
Chicken, Corn, and Veggies on the Barbie.
My favorite part. Baked Potato Salad!!! Mo-That was the bomb!
Kaelin is corny
Kaelin is corny

We three girls.
I forgot to mention that they live 4 houses from the beach. So we took a walk down there. I think it was like 10 at night. Kaelin was wide awake. She likes the late night scene, unfortunately she also likes the early morning wake ups.
Day 2
First Stop. San Diego Zoo.
We saw giraffes.
Apes.
Elephants.
Even Rinos!
After a long nap at the resort, we headed out to...
Where we saw a nice Nativity
How's that saying go... "Like a kid in a candy store"
Hmmm...Something's definitely wrong!
Day 3.
Hotel Del. Love, Love, Love, Love this place!
Inside. The most beautiful tree.
And the most exquisite desserts.
After Coronado Island, we headed home.
Our last stop on the itinerary. Lego Land.
Plus, It was cold and we were ready to get back into our scheduled life.
ok. So that was our trip for our bdays. it was great. we ate. we played. we will do it again someday. i told adam that next year it's his turn.
