On Thursday, my BFF Beth and I went surfing down at Blackies...
ok, I'll be quite honest. I am not a very good "surfer," I just think its fun to go out and just be one with nature. I think I caught maybe 3 waves in a 2 hour span. My High School surf coach would definitely be yelling at me for being so lazy. But hey, I still fit into my wetsuit from Sophmore year.
Kaelin LOVES the water. She definitely prefers the ocean over ANY pool. She runs right in, no matter what the temp and no matter how big the waves are. That's my girl!

The end of our first sesh.
ok, surfing aside...Kaelin got her first bloody boo-boo. Normally she bonks and gets a bruise, but this time we had a bleeder. She fell off the rocking chair at my parents house while playing the drums for Rock Band.
Even though the weather was a bit gloomy, Kaelin had a great time and we can't wait for her to paddle out again...

Oh my gosh Trac-I LOVE IT! Kaelin will TOTALLY be a Surfer Girl just like her Mom!! That's AWESOME!!! You don't need to be a pro, at least you can do it! :) I really think you need to teach me...but, not until I get a wetsuit!
Way to go Kaelin! She's already got it man...she's tried more than I have :) And I prefer it that way. Miss you guys!

Absolutely adorable!! Doug will be jealous when he sees these pics - he can't wait for the day when he gets to take his girls out surfing! Maybe I'll even learn someday...haha...yeah right.
