"When the Hills of Los Angeles are Burning.....

So, I realize I have not posted anything new in a L...O...N...G...Time. All I have to say is "Sorry." So to make up for this lagging of mine I will enchant you with a really really long blog post. I will therefore start with the old and end with the new. OK? OK! Let's get started!

As most of you know by now, California was pretty much overwhelmed with fire. I knew tons about the LA and San Diego fires, but nothing about our local fires here in the foothills. (Like 20 minutes away from where we live) It was only after the fires were over that I finally realized why. It was because #1, There were no more firemen left and #2, some punk dude started it. All I have to say is "What a Moron!"

Here are some foothills...burning...
.....Palm Trees Are Candles In The (Killer) Wind"

Ok, to shift gears now...

Adam went to a Jimmy Eat World concert with his friend, Blake. Somehow they finaggled their way in. This was their view, but Adam kept telling me how those guys were sitting the whole time until he decided to take a picture, then of course they stood up. It was at the House of Blues at Downtown Disney.

Then Adam and I went to Downtown Disnet the next nigh and had a date night, while my mom and Taylor watched the babe. We ate at Rainforest Cafe and were supposed to see a movie too, but it was so dang busy down there, we ended up just walking around the stores. Did you know there is an Anne Geddes store there? It is the only one in the world. It's a tiny place, but has got some amazing photos hanging and some cute outfits. The mini-babies are kinds weird though....

Then there was this guy carving pumpkins, his name was Joe, we ended up talking to him for like half an hour about why he is so good at doing these pumpkin carvings. We found out that he has been drawing animations for over 20 years just for Disney. Pretty sweet, huh?

Now, another topic:

My friend Stacie tagged me from her blog to post 8 things about myself.

So, here they are:

  1. I am totally into fixing things, wether it be a pair of pants that need a button, a squeeky door that needs tightening, a busted door knob, stained carpet, the stinkin' computer, or even making the dead flowers of mine-grow.
  2. I therefore love all those DIY networks on how to do and make all these handy things, I know I inherited this trait from my Dad.
  3. I will not spend more than $3 on a box of cereal. Usually I only spend $2.50, but I splurge sometimes on a $3 box of Lucky Charms.
  4. I hate when people cancel on me. It seems to only happen when fun stuff is planned. Right when Adam and I met, I told him to never cancel on me and if he did he had to have a back up plan. So far, so good!
  5. My favorite thrist quencher is Icy Cold water in a thermos, especially during a hot Saturday soccer game in South county.
  6. I dislike cake very much. I never eat it on my birthday and I didn't have any of it at my own wedding. Although, French's Bakery does serve a pretty good slice if I am ever in the mood for it.
  7. Before I was prego, I preferred sweet over salty, now I prefer salty over sweet. Bring on the Cheez-Its!
  8. I am very frugal and love using coupons. We usually never go out to eat without sifting through the coupon drawer first. Hey, buy 1 meal, get 1 free is a sweet deal! Whenever we eat at Acupulco,We usually buy two huge meals, and box 1 up and eat if for dinner the next night. Just an Idea.

Ok, now that that is over with...

The other day Stacie and I had a hayday taking pictures of Kaelin in her Halloween Costume. If you unable to pinpoint what she is. She is a "bunch of grapes"

Last weekend, we went to the swapmeet where Kaelin had her first encounter with bubbles.

Adam experienced a weird bicycle ride. He didn't like riding it because it steers with the back tires so it's alot of work and therefore not that fun.

Kaelin had her first bites. Wow, I can't tell you how much feeding her a couple ounces of rice cereal has made such a huge impact in her sleeping habits. We now sleep the same hours, 10:30 pm-7:30 am.

And of course she thinks guzzling water out of my water jug is the coolest thing. It's so funny to watch her do it. She sucks really hard and then you can hear her taking these enormous gulps and after every gulp she makes this funny face, as if she's saying, "Yuck, I don't like water," but the best part is, is that she keeps gulping and gulping until she emits a huge "BUUUUURRRPP!"

Well, I had to get a shot of her in her hoodie. It was sprinkling the other morning and we were running across the street to get some milk and eggs. Typical errand.

And seriously I could make this blog post soooo much longer, but I have been at this same post for like a week now, so I am just going to post it. This weeks activities will have to wait until next time. Sorry, I'm busy...I'm a working mommy now.
